Ponderosa, Braly & Gavello Glen

 

The Ponderosa, Braly and Gavello Glen neighborhoods are located on the East Side of Sunnyvale. The area of homes is bound by Fair Oaks Ave to the West, Evelyn Rd to the North, Lawrence Expressway to the East and El Camino Real to the South. Each of these neighborhoods is within the Santa Clara School District. The Ponderosa neighborhood mostly falls within the Ponderosa Elementary School boundaries while Braly and Gavello Glen fall within Braly Elementary. All of the homes are within the Peterson Middle and Wilcox High School attendance boundaries. Homeowners love the Ponderosa neighborhood largely due to its namesake, the charming 9-acre Ponderosa Park as well as many mature tree-lined streets. Braly is also named after its own 5.6 acre Braly Park. Gavello Glen is a Mid-Century Modern development built by Elmer Gavello in 1956. The homes were designed by architects Anshen & Allen who were also Joseph Eichler’s first architects. These contemporary homes feature gable rooflines, floor to ceiling windows and many were built on expansive 10,000sf + lots.
