Foster City Eichler Homes

The Eichler homes in Foster City are located in three separate neighborhoods – Bay Vista, Treasure Isle, and Marina Point. Sometimes referred to as Neighborhood 2, Bay Vista is the largest tract, and Eichler homes are intermixed with other contemporary homes on streets and cul-de-sacs bound by Gull Avenue and Beach Park Boulevard. Treasure Isle (Neighborhood 1) Eichlers are scattered throughout the tract and include homes on Matsonia Drive, Lurline Drive, Pilgrim Drive, and Constitution Drive. Eichler homes in Marina Point (Neighborhood 4) can be found on Schooner Street, Yawl Court, Barkentine Street and Mainsail Court.

The Eichlers in Foster City were built contemporaneously with the Eichler homes in Burlingame’s Mills Estates in the mid-1960s and are represented by a variety of models by architects Claude Oakland and John Brooks Boyd. Foster City Eichlers were designed specifically for the project and range in size from modest 3 bedroom homes of just under 1800 square feet to larger 4-bedroom models with more than 2200 square feet of living space. The Eichler homes in Foster City include courtyard, atrium, and gallery style floor plans.

As a note of interest: Treasure Isle and Bay Vista Eichler homes are mixed with homes built by other developers, creating a diversity of style and architecture in these neighborhoods.
