The 238 Eichler homes found in Mountain View are separated into two main tracts:
Bell Meadows and
Fairview/Monta Loma. As the larger of the two communities, the Fairview tract in the Monta Loma neighborhood was built in 1954, and is comprised of 185 Eichlers. After parting ways with Anshen and Allen,
Fairview tract is the work of Jones and Emmons. The homes here are on the smaller side, averaging 1100-1400 sq ft living space, with mostly 3 bedrooms floor plans, such as this one on Nedson Court. Located only 10 minutes from the Google Campus by bike and surrounded by great public schools,
Monta Loma is one of the most popular Eichler neighborhoods in the Bay Area. Just three miles south of Monta Loma, a smaller Eichler tract comprised of 53 Eichlers is tucked away in
Bell Meadows on Miramonte Ave, Trophy Drive,
Eichler Drive and
Eichler Court. Built between 1972-1973, Claude Oakland took over most of the architectural development in this area and produced some of the most innovative designs for Eichler during this time. These are definitely stunning Eichler homes, mostly
Atrium models, some Gallery models, with larger 4 bedroom floorplans and some really gorgeous large lots on the cul-de-sac homes located on Trophy Dr and Eichler Ct.
