Atria Real Estate and the Erdal Swartz Team is built upon the 30-year legacy of local real estate icon, Nil Erdal. Starting her career on a whim in 1987, Nil quickly rose to become one of the most respected, successful and talented realtors in Silicon Valley.
Setting up shop in her Sunnyvale office on Murphy Ave (at what was then Fox & Carskadon), she hit the pavement–often with two toddlers in tow–going door to door, meeting neighbors and investing in her community. Her genuine passion for helping people made her popular with clients and colleagues alike. In the late 1990’s Nil expanded her business to work with Eichler homes, where she played a pivotal role in increasing awareness of the architectural value, functionality and beauty of mid-century modern Eichler homes.
Nil received countless awards and was consistently ranked amongst the Top 1% of agents nationwide. Yet despite her busy schedule, she always made time to give back to the industry, sitting on panels and mentoring the next generation of Realtors. She was one of the rare people who truly knew how to balance work, friends and family, finding opportunity and positivity in any situation.
Nil retired in 2019, while her daughter Pelin and son-in-law Kevin, continued to carry on the family business, allowing her more time to travel and enjoy being a grandmother, a job she loved just as much as being a Realtor.
She continued to consult for the Team and follow the housing market, until her passing in 2021 from cancer.
