Best Places to Watch 4th of July Fireworks in Silicon Valley

Santa Clara –Bring family and friends because there is something in it for everyone to enjoy. Start the day with a pancake breakfast from 8 – 10 a.m. followed by dynamic dancing from the Sizzling Seniors and the Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Department dancers. There will be a Flag Dedication Ceremony at 12 noon, followed by a Super Dance Party featuring two popular local band performances: The Cocktail Monkeys from 12:30-2:00 p.m. and The Groove Kings from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Enjoy delicious food and plenty of activities for all including Cosmo Jumps, carnival games, face painting, swimming, and more. Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View – Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love. Led by San Francisco Symphony Director of Summer Concerts Edwin Outwater, and joined by vocalist Storm Large, this year’s 4th of July program will pay special tribute with a Summer of Love: A Legacy of Love theme. The concert will open with traditional patriotic favorites and film music of John Williams, and as always, a special firework celebration will close out the evening. Tickets required.

The Alameda Avenue, San Jose – Enjoy a family holiday filled with history, patriotism and roses! Live music, arts and crafts booths, antique cars, and good things to eat at the Festival after the Parade! Parade starts 10 a.m. at Lincoln High School. Check out more info here.

Rotary Club of San Jose presents Rotary Fireworks, an evening event starting at 5:15 p.m. with a dinner buffet along the banks of the Guadalupe River, fun activities for kids, entertainment and a firework show that will start at approximately 9:30 p.m. Check it out here.

There’s no better way to celebrate America than baseball and fireworks! Come out to the ballpark to watch the the San Jose Giants hit the field against the Quakes. The players will be wearing special Stars & Stripes jerseys. Game will be followed by a fireworks show. Tickets sells out fast. BTW, those who don’t manage to secure tickets can still see the show from various spots surrounding the stadium.

Cupertino hosts their annual small town Fourth of July fireworks show with viewing locations at three different parks in the city. Start the day from 7-11am with a Pancake Breakfast, hosted by the De Anza Optimist Club of Cupertino at the Quinlan Community Center.  Followed from 9-12pm is a children’s carnival and parade (at 10am) and concert at Memorial Park. Then gather for viewing the fireworks at Creekside Park, Middle Avenue, or Sedgwick Elementary School. Fireworks set off from Cupertino High School around 9:30 pm. For more information.

Skypark at Scotts Valley – Great for those looking to get out of the Valley, Scott Valley’s annual event is a nice drive. The parade and flyover will begin at 3 pm on Scotts Valley Drive and the pre-fireworks festivities at Skypark Park, including food, live music, a petting zoo, a bounce house, and games, starts at 4 pm. Then settle in on a blanket for the fireworks show at 9:15 pm. Click here for more info.
